Full Circle That Led to a Dream Come True
22-Feb-2009
The Sunday Telegraph 22nd Feb 2009 Your Space- Retirement Section Featured the following article after interview two of our residents, Ray & Margaret King.

FULL CIRCLE THAT LED TO A DREAM COME TRUE

This boutique gated estate, only a 10-minute drive to south coast beaches, is an award winning community of 60 villas set in 2ha of landscaped grounds. The estate’s hub is the Broughton Club, offering a lounge with fireplace, function room, games room, catering facilities, entertainment system and an outside heated pool. A tennis court is planned in stage three of four stages.

The villas – a mix of two bedrooms and two bedrooms plus study – come with spacious living areas opening to private courtyards and balconies and internal access for most to the garage.
Prices start in the mid $400,000s.
Stage three is expected to be completed by mid 2009.

RAY & MARGARET KING
Long-Term Wollongong residents, Ray and Margaret first retired to an acreage at Berry, then to Callala Bay, near Jervis Bay, before finally finding their dream retirement spot – back at Berry.
“We found Callala just too far away from everything.” Ray says. “We saw The Grange under construction, loved the thought of coming back to Berry and were impressed by the size of the villas. Our upstairs two-bedroom and den villa with balconies in the front and back is very spacious and that’s what we were looking for,
“The facilities at the Broughton Club really come in handy and there’s the advantage of having the railway station nearby – for the time when we won’t be driving and can hop on the train to Wollongong or Sydney and not have to worry.”
“We’re very, very happy here,” Margaret adds: “We’ve made some good friends, we have happy hours every couple of weeks and a craft club every week. But we also love seeing our son and friends in Wollongong and I go to the gym in Nowra a couple of times a week. “And we can’t say enough about the management here – nothing is ever a problem. We’re very lucky and we know it.”
