The Christmas Party at Hunters Hill Lodge is regarded as the highlight of the calendar year by residents, their family and friends as well as the staff. This year was no different as close to 100 people filled the Boronia Dining Room and enjoyed the three course meal prepared by our Chef John.

"A lot of hard work and planning goes into catering for so many people," commented John after the event. "But the reward is seeing so many people here together having a great time."

For the first time, all were treated to the sight of seeing John light his famous Christmas Pudding as it was sprinkled with brandy.

"We thought it would be a real treat for everyone to see the finishing of the puddings as they are set alight"

This year's Christmas Party marks the last that will take place in the current community area with refurbishment works to commence in January 2009.

The Care Manager Barbara commented: "This is a great way to end the year and next year it will be more so as we will have a fresh and new community area to celebrate in!"
